Lamido Foundation Donates School Uniforms, Carries out Medical Outreach in Tsauri Community

1,500 primary school pupils in Tsauri community in Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State have received free school uniforms donated by Lamido Foundation, a non-profit organization.
The foundation has also carried out medical outreach in the community where 450 persons with various ailments received free medical attention.
At an event to distribute the school uniforms and carry out the medical outreach program, the Chairman of Lamido Foundation, Alhaji Jabiru Tsauri, explained that the medical outreach entails free diagnosis, treatment and free drugs to the beneficiaries.
He noted that since its inception, Lamido Foundation has carried out similar interventions in dozens of communities across eleven Local Government Areas of in the Katsina Central zone.
Alhaji Jabiru Tsauri who is also the Chief of Staff, Government House Katsina, said the medical outreach and distribution of school uniforms is part of the education and health sector interventions by the foundation.
“One of our priories at Lamido Foundation is education, this is why we have embarked on several interventions to support primary, secondary and tertiary education in Katsina State.
“Aside the distribution of school uniforms, books, and other teaching and learning materials in public schools, we also support students with scholarship.
“We give two types of scholarship to students, depending on their financial capacity.
“We place some students on full scholarship while we support others with partial scholarship which is meant for students whose parents can not fully sponsor their education.
“Our aim is to help these students to excel in their educational careers to become productive and useful for themselves and their families and communityities”, Tsauri said.
He explained that the donations are part of the events lined up to commemorate his turbaning as ‘Lamidon Katsina’ by the Emir of Katsina, next Saturday.
Other events include Quranic recitation which was held at Gobarau, and special prayers for sustained peace and progress of Katsina State which was held at Banu Coomassie Juma’at Mosque.
