*Governor Radda Unveils Katsina State Enterprises Development Agency Plan*

The Katsina State Government has again  disclosed its plan of establishing an Enterprises Development Agency, for businesses in the State to thrive and create economic prosperity for Katsina citizens.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda on Wednesday said that a Bill to provide for a law to create the Agency is now before the Katsina State House of Assembly.

He spoke while commissioning Muhabbik Rice Mill, established by Alh. Mubarak Isiyaku Oyo, an indigene of Jibia local government area of the State. The newly-inaugurated rice mill is along Katsina-Dutsinma Road.

Governor Radda, while speaking at the commissioning event, promised to support wealthy Katsina individuals willing to set up business outlets in the State.

This is in realization of their economic viability, as a source of income generation.

While congratulating Alh. Isiyaku Oyo for establishing the rice mill, he urged other wealthy individuals in the State to follow suit, with a view helping the Katsina Government address youth unemployment in the State.

On the proposed Katsina Enterprises Development Agency, Governor Radda said that the Agency would be responsible for monitoring and providing extension services to Katsina business entrepreneurs, among other activities.

Earlier, Alh. Isiyaku Oyo  said their processing facility has the capacity of producing 36,000 metric tonnes of rice per annum.

This, he said, was in addition to providing job opportunities to 150 youths in the State.

He however, pleaded with the Governor Radda-led administration to support farmers in the State to embark on massive rice production for their company to have more raw materials.
