New Leadership: Tinubu Appoints Heads of Key Government Agencies

Tinubu has named Delu Bulus Yakubu as the inaugural National Coordinator/CEO of the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA), pending Senate approval. Additionally, Aliyu Tijani Ahmed has been appointed as the new Federal Commissioner/CEO of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI). These appointments were announced by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), on Thursday.

The NSIPA (Establishment) Act, 2023, was signed into law on May 22, 2023. Mrs. Yakubu holds a Masters degree in agronomy from the State University of Bio-Technology in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and has over 15 years of experience in managing Social Investment Programmes. Ahmed holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Sociology and has previously served the Nasarawa State Government in various capacities.

President Tinubu expects these new appointees to uphold the highest standards of efficiency, transparency, and quality service delivery in their respective agencies as part of his commitment to realizing the goals of his administration's Renewed Hope agenda. These appointments are effective immediately.
