The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, alongside Commissioners and medical staff, received a presentation on the CVST Pharmacy Application from CVST Pharmacy Limited, led by Amb. Dr. Adam K. Mohammed and presented by Mayowa Ajiboye. The app aims to enhance medication management, drug dispensation, and patient record-keeping during Hajj operations.

Professor Saleh Usman commended the initiative but clarified that no approval has been granted. Instead, he directed the formation of a technical committee to evaluate the app’s alignment with NAHCON’s medical team service conditions, operational requirements, and cost implications.

Following this, the Commissioner of Operations, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, emphasized the importance of collaborating with CVST Pharmacy Limited to further assess its feasibility. Additionally, NAHCON’s Head of ICT, Shehu Raji, noted that NAHCON already uses the “Hajj Companion” app, which performs similar functions but lacks AI capabilities, and expressed interest in exploring further collaborations.

Medical staff of the NAHCON Clinic at the event provided feedback on security, offline functionality, and system integration. The final decision on the app’s adoption will be based on the committee’s recommendations.
