The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina State Command, has commenced a comprehensive deployment of personnel and logistics across key highways and routes in the state to ensure a smooth and safe Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Public Education Officer of the Command, Deputy Route Commander Shamsudeen Babajo, on behalf of the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell K. Lede, on Wednesday, 4th June 2025.

According to the statement, the command has positioned ambulances, a light heavy-duty tow truck, and seven patrol vehicles at strategic points across major roads in the state. This deployment is aimed at easing traffic flow and enhancing the safety of commuters during the Sallah festivities.

In addition to regular marshals, the command has also mobilised members of the Special Marshals to assist in managing traffic at critical junctions, ensuring free movement of vehicles and the safety of lives and property.

The special Eid-el-Kabir patrol is scheduled to run from Thursday, 5th to Wednesday, 11th June 2025. Commander Lede called on residents and road users to cooperate fully with FRSC officials and other traffic management agencies throughout the festive period.

Highlighting the significance of the annual "Hawan Sarki" event taking place on 7th June 2025, Lede assured citizens that adequate plans have been made to manage the expected surge in vehicular traffic in collaboration with other security agencies.

He also urged the public to make use of the FRSC mobile app to navigate roadways, prevent road traffic crashes, and report emergencies.

The statement concluded with a message of goodwill from the Sector Commander, wishing the people of Katsina State a peaceful and joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
