On Sunday, December 8, the Lamido Foundation conducted a significant outreach program aimed at supporting female education and promoting hygiene and healthcare. During the event, more than 300 female students from seven secondary schools received personal hygiene kits at a gathering held in the auditorium of Women's Teachers College (WTC), Katsina.

The event was attended by prominent guests, including political stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and advocates, who delivered lectures on the importance of hygiene, methods of preventing infectious diseases, and strategies to improve the well-being of female students.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Alhaji Jabiru Salisu Tsauri, the foundation’s chairman, explained the rationale behind the initiative:
> "We decided to offer this support to female students in light of their economic challenges. While these items may not be abundant, their impact on reducing the needs and challenges they face is significant. We specifically chose to focus on females because issues of hygiene and bodily health primarily affect them.”

He added that this initiative aligns with the foundation's broader mission of promoting public health through awareness campaigns and the provision of hygiene materials. “The Lamido Foundation Medical Team organized these lectures to enhance students’ awareness about the importance of hygiene and personal health care,” he said.

Tsauri expressed gratitude to all contributors who ensured the program's success, including influential figures like Nasiru Ala Iyatawa, Abubakar Soja Tsanni and Nana Yakubu, the principal of WTC.

Many students expressed their joy and appreciation for the support and the lectures, which they said had deepened their understanding of essential practices to improve their lives, particularly in maintaining personal hygiene in all circumstances.

The well-organized program highlighted how foundations can play a crucial role in supporting youth and enhancing their lives across various aspects.

In conclusion, the Lamido Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining similar initiatives and encouraging female students to excel in education and healthcare. This effort is just one of the many ways the foundation is contributing to the welfare of the community at large.
