Katsina State Government Boosts Security Operations in Kurfi Local Government

In a bid to strengthen security operations in Kurfi Local Government, the Katsina State Government has pledged to provide five additional brand new motorcycles for joint security efforts in the area. This commitment was made by Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda during the commissioning of a new security committee office and the inauguration of its new leadership.
Representing Governor Dikko Radda, Katsina Government House, Chief of Staff, Jabirru Abdullahi Tasuri, assured the community of the government's support by promising to augment the existing motorcycles and repair inoperable ones for effective patrol against banditry in the region.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the State Commissioner of Police for organizing specialized training programmes for youths willing to contribute to security efforts. He also acknowledged the generous support of local leaders, Sarkin Kurayen Katsina and Sarkin Arewa, who jointly donated six hundred thousand naira to bolster security operations.
Highlighting the collaborative efforts between security agencies, local vigilantes, and community watch groups, Governor Dikko Radda reaffirmed the government's commitment to tackling armed banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities in the state.
In response, State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, pledged to train and equip identified youths to support security operations, ensuring the availability of ammunition for community watch members. Additionally, he assured the return of the Armed Personnel Carrier in the area after complete overhaul.
Chairman of Kurfi Local Council, Alhaji Mannir Shehu, expressed gratitude for the government's swift deployment of security personnel and appealed for their continued presence to restore lasting peace in the community.
Chairman of the local security committee, Alhaji Yakubu Abba, emphasized the importance of unity in combating criminal activities and commended the government for its prompt support, which has encouraged displaced households to return home.
The Katsina State Government remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens, and these measures demonstrate its dedication to achieving this goal.
