NSCDC in Katsina Welcomes New Personnel, Emphasizes Commitment to Community Safety

KATSINA, 1st March 2024 – The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Katsina state has formally announced the induction of new personnel for the year 2024. The official confirmation ceremony unfolded on Friday, coinciding with the International Day of the commission.

In a historic move, the Katsina state NSCDC Commander, Jamilu Indabawa, underscored the significance of aligning this parade with the International Civil Rights Day for the second time in the force's history. Previously, Commander Indabawa highlighted the force's commitment by introducing a training program for 2 female officers and 137 male officers out of the 500 individuals recruited by the Civil Defense, Firefighting, and Immigration Services Agency in 2023.

Commander Indabawa elaborated on the extensive six-month training period, aimed at nurturing a cadre of skilled, diligent, and disciplined officers wholly dedicated to safeguarding lives and property within the community.

Furthermore, he called upon the newly appointed personnel to exhibit courage, resilience, dedication, and vigilance in their duties, emphasizing the crucial role they play in ensuring the safety of the community and contributing to overall peace and development.
