Katsina State Government has reaffirmed that the Security Challenges Containment order as signed by the State Governor since July 31st this year remained enforce.

This is contained in a statement from the Office of the State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs Dr. Nasiru Mu'azu Danmusa.
The statement recalled that as from the commencement of the order, all Lories Trucks carrying firewood and cattle from the forest are banned, while also the sales of Cattle at Safana, Danmusa, Kankara, Batsari, Faskari and Sabuwa has been suspended indefinitely.
In addition, clearance must be sought from District, Village or Ward Head on transportation of Cattle from Katsina State to any other State in Nigeria.
According to the statement, the containment order had since ban the riding of unregistered Tricycle (Keke NAPEP,) Motor Cycle and Hi speed Motorcycles popularly called Boko Haram throughout the State.
Similarly, the order has put a total ban on carrying more than two persons on Motorcycle and more than four persons on tricycle.
More so, all Motorists and Cyclists are ordered to ensure registering their Vehicles not later than 31st August, 2023 while failure to do so will amount for committing an offence.
It also restated the ban on the operation of commercial tricycles and Motorcycles from ten pm to six am in the State capital and from 8pm to 6 am in Sabuwa, Dandume, Funtua, Faskari Bakori, Kankara, Danja, K'afur, Malumfashi, Musawa, Matazu, Danmusa, Safana, Dutsinma, Kurfi, Charanchi, Jibia, Batsari and Kankia Local Government areas.
The order added that in the interest of Security and Public Safety, the total ban on the sale of Petroleum in Jerry cans at filling stations remains enforce.
The Internal Security and Home Affairs Commissioner said the containment order was signed by the State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda with the sole aim of curtailing security challenges facing the State.
