This is a request for reconnection of the above named lifesaving institution.

UCH has paid Forty Million Naira (N40m) out of the outstanding sum of Four Hundred and Ninety Four Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Six Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy One Naira, Seventy Eight Kobo (N494,756,871.78), a sum that is disputed by UCH because part of it is a carry over from the Power Holding Corporation of Nigeria (PHCN), era. As you are aware, such monies belonged to Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Company and not Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc. (IBEDC).

Furthermore, we want to make this clear that IBEDC billing to UCH is not correct as we doubt the integrity of the meter that IBEDC used for the billing.

Consequently, I want your office to know that IBEDC erred by disconnecting a lifesaving institution contrary to NERC Consumer Protection Regulations Chapter 2 Section 25(2) and this is the third disconnection within two weeks.

This disconnection has affected the running of the institution and has also claimed a lot of lives of the admitted patients whose treatments depend on electricity.

My client is happy to discuss the way forward, but in the meantime,we hereby appeal for your quick intervention on the reconnection of electricity to the above institution to stop unnecessary embarrassment to the institution and further cause of loss of life.

Thank you for your usual co-operation.
