Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, represented by the Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe graced the annual Sallah Durbar fiesta hosted by His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, the Emir of Katsina.
The ceremony took place at the Emir's Palace in Kofar Soro, where 30 district heads paid homage to the Emir as part of the colourful Sallah festival observances.
Deputy Governor Jobe's delegation included key government officials including Secretary to the State Government Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, Chief of Staff Hon Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, and Head of Service Alhaji Falalu Bawale.
Special Adviser on Emirate Affairs Hon Usman Abba Jaye Danmalikin Katsina, Principal Private Secretary Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji and Deputy Chief of Staff Barrister Mukhtari Aliyu Saulawa completed the government team.
The attendance further reflected Governor Radda's recognition of the importance of the traditional institution in Katsina's governance structure.
The Sallah Durbar featured spectacular displays of horsemanship and royal pageantry. Kingmakers and traditional title holders participated in the elaborate ceremony, showcasing the richness of Katsina's cultural heritage. The event attracted international attention as foreign dignitaries graced the occasion.
