A coalition of stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kafur/Malumfashi Federal Constituency, known as APC Mafita, has declared its support for the aspiration of Hon. Bature Umar Masari ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The group made its position known in a press release issued in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday, following a series of consultations with party stakeholders and grassroots supporters across the constituency.
According to the statement, the decision was reached after extensive engagements with critical stakeholders, opinion leaders, and party faithful to assess the political landscape in preparation for the المقبلة elections.
Leaders involved in the consultations include Alhaji Aminu Yari, Barrister Aminu Halilu, Dr. Abdulmalik Jamilu, Barrister Nura Aminu Yaba, Dr. Nuhu Dambo, and Hon. Jabiru Jibrin, among others.
The coalition said it unanimously resolved to support Masari, citing his experience, political strength, and grassroots connection as key factors that position him as a strong candidate for the APC.
“The decision is based on a clear understanding of the political realities within the constituency and the need to present a credible and widely accepted candidate,” the statement said.
It warned that presenting a candidate without broad-based support could weaken the party’s chances in the 2027 elections, describing its endorsement as both strategic and necessary.
The group also called on APC members, stakeholders, and residents of Kafur and Malumfashi Local Government Areas to unite behind Masari’s candidacy to ensure electoral success.
In addition, APC Mafita urged key stakeholders and party leaders across the state to give due consideration to Masari’s aspiration, citing his contributions to the development of the party.
The coalition reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the APC’s structure, promoting unity within the party, and working towards victory in the forthcoming elections.
