A public address delivered by Nafiu Bala Gombe at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday has sparked widespread criticism, following concerns over his speech delivery and clarity.

Reacting to the development, media scholar Farooq Kperogi expressed disappointment, describing the speech as difficult to comprehend. He noted that while a few English phrases were discernible, much of the address appeared incoherent.

Kperogi further questioned Bala’s preparedness for leadership, arguing that the ability to effectively communicate—particularly when delivering a prepared speech—is essential for anyone aspiring to lead a national political party.
