Corruption: President Tinubu Came To Encourage, Not To Discourage, It.

FROM all indications, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not appear in a hurry to discourage the awful menace of corruption and its consequences. If anything, he appears in a hurry  to encourage and deepen the abominable practice in Nigeria.

PRESIDENT Tinubu’s promise to end corruption in Nigeria is like Donald Trump’s promise to the Muslim voters in the US that if they give him their vote he would make Israel end its wars in Palestine. Instead, the unrefined Uncle Sam President has become even more helpful to the Zionists nation, assisting it with arms, money, and, at times, physical presence in the battle fields. A practice for him over the years.

IN any case, the EMILOKAN statement in Oyo before the president’s inauguration, should have (as I stated earlier) alerted the North of his UNGODLY intention. Some people in the South of the Niger Bridge, particularly his tribespeople, knew him enough to warn against ‘electing’ him as the number one citizen of the country.

AMONG the non tribal people of his who warned against his election was the now late Chief Anthony Anenih, a retired AIG and former Obasanjo era Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP).

THOSE belonging to his tribe include the late Chief Ayo Adebanjo, who was a one time Chairman of the foremost Yoruba socio/cultural organisation, AFENIFERE. Anything in the interest of the Yoruba people is championed by Afenifere.

CHIEF Adebanjo foresaw, and accordingly, cautioned Nigerian voters against ever electing Tinubu as president, warning that his leadership would be a catastrophic disaster to the country. Unfortunately, his prediction is so accurate that most citizens are now rueing Tinubu’s emergence as president.

PRESIDENT Tinubu started his corruption-driven leadership by a phantom removal of petroleum subsidy in one swoop, on the day he was inaugurated. It was followed by another phantom removal of subsidy on electricity, which is progressively effected.

ANOTHER sign of the abject corruption in his regime is the lopsided appointments in favour of one geopolitical zone and one religious faith in Nigeria.

MANY of the loans from the Nigerian Pension Commission (PENCOM) and foreign bank, have not provided any relief and joy to the citizens, as their evidence is nowhere to be seen outside Lagos.

THERE is the total collapse of the electricity supply in the country despite the president’s call on the voters not to elect him for a second term if he is not able to provide electricity for all during his first term. As it is now, governments at federal and state levels spend billions of naira annually to supply alternative sources of energy to provide electricity to few individuals.

THE Minister of power Chief Adebayo Adelabu has however been able to build for himself a magnificent palace in Ibadan better than the government house, in the last two and a half years he has been in office.

APART from the abysmal performance in every sector, the regime has added official forgery in its repertoire of corrupt practices. The Tinubu regime, which recently signed an agreement allowing France to bring its ‘technical advisers’ to Nigeria to assist the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) collect more revenue in the country, illegally gazetted the new tax law that took effect from the 1st day of January of the new (2026) year.

THERE is his infamous bribery to the members of the National Assembly (NASS) every time he wants to do something illegal. Even passing the annual budget, which the president presents three to four times in one year, has been elevated by him to the level where each member of the NASS smiles to the bank.

USES the EFCC to intimidate some key members of the opposition in order to have them  ‘decamp’ to APC, and those who do are forgiven all their past misdemeanours, whatever their gravity. Many people have given in to that arm twisting blackmail, and ‘decamped’ or remained in the ruling party out of fear of that kind of intimidation.

IT appears an un punishable offence to be gifted N500 million by some serving ministers if you are the Chaiman of the EFCC, as Pastor  ,once told the world that he was given that amount as gift to bury his dead mother.

A wit on the Internet documented the monumental corruption that took place in the past few years to include, “Betta Edu scandal, Gandollar Gate, N108 billion Akpabio loot, N3 billion Nigeria Air fraud, N6 trillion missing in NDDC, N210 Trillion missing in NNPC. N7.1 billion Orji Kalu fraud case, the N128 billion missing in Power Ministry, fuel subsidy removal trillions still uncounted for, and so many others that are too numerous to mention.

“THEY WILL LOOT YOUR TAXES 100% They will lavish your taxes. Do not pay tax to these corrupt thieves”.

AND Tinubu once told the whole world that he did not believe in Nigeria, the very Nigeria he now wants to rule forever, for which he employs blackmail and other forms of arm twisting tactics against key members of the opposition, even if they already members of the ruling party.

MAY God not ever allow a person who “do not believe in Nigeria” to emerge its leader or ruler, under whatever circumstances under the sun.
