Shettima Visits Kebbi, Assures Families of Abducted Schoolgirls of Swift Government Action

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday visited Birnin Kebbi to commiserate with the Kebbi State Government and families affected by the recent tragic incidents in the state, including the abduction of schoolgirls and the killing of senior officials.

During the visit, the Vice President conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s deep concern over the abduction of students from a boarding school in Maga and the killing of Brigadier-General Musa Uba (rtd) and the school’s Vice Principal.

Shettima stated that the Federal Government would deploy “all instruments of the state” to ensure the rescue of the abducted schoolchildren and bring their abductors to justice. He added that the killers of the late military general and the vice principal would face the full weight of the law.

He described the abduction as “an assault on the collective conscience of all Nigerians,” affirming that the government would not relent until those responsible are apprehended and the children safely reunited with their families.

The Vice President’s visit comes amid heightened national concern over security challenges and renewed calls for more robust protection for schools in vulnerable communities.
