THE situation in Nigeria under the present regime is so BAD that some Senators have of recent been expressing a DISCONTENT like NEVER before at the RAGING INSECURITY, POVERTY, HUNGER and CLUELESSNESS in the regime’s running of the affairs of the country. These are vis-a-vis the BACKDROP of the AFFLUENT lifestyle of MOST of the lawmakers, especially the SENATORS.

THE complaining members of the Red Chamber, or the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly (NASS), cut across all the GENDERS, they belong to both males and females. They all condemn a country where political consideration is MORE IMPORTANT than the lives of many of the citizens.

FOR the second time, Senator Abdul Ningi from Bauchi State, is the latest to express his DISDAIN (again) on the floor of the SENATE, telling the President that most Nigerian citizens are SUFFERING, while members of the National Assembly (NASS) are ALWAYS smiling to the bank.

SENATOR Abdul Ningi is a veteran lawmaker whose sojourn in the NASS started with his two-term stint in the Green Chamber (what none NASSERS call the House of Representatives). He is therefore in a very good position to say what is right or wrong in the country, essentially the NASS.

THOSE who spoke on the floor of the Senate are PATRIOTS, who do NOT want for Nigeria what is CURRENTLY happening in CAMEROON. In the neighbouring Francophone country, ‘sit-tight’ OLD PEOPLE do NOT want to leave more vibrant people to lead the country. Cameroon is NOW literally in BLAZES, courtesy of the FURY of the YOUTH, who feel cheated by a result that they did not know from where it came about.

THEY feared for Nigeria not to fall victim of the FATE that befell GHANA in the 80s, when compatriots started chanting ‘GHANA MUST GO’, in protest to the hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians who flooded into Nigeria and took up many menial jobs in their host country. Before Airforce Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Rawlings (now deceased) took over, and corrected things.

THEY do NOT wish for Nigeria’s ‘IBRAHIM TRAORE’, who would come and do things CORRECTLY, by ENFORCING what the Western Hemisphere would rather NOT have. Ridding the country of the BAD Western INFLUENCE is what an Ibrahim Traore would do.

THERE was Senator Ndume from Borno State, there was Senator Natasha from Kogi State, Senator Abdul Ningi from Bauchi State, all the three have at one time or another, been suspended, or threatened with suspension, from the Nigerian Senate, for speaking out for the citizens of the country. They also come from diverse religions, regions and backgrounds.

ONLY a few I know by reputation, except for Senator Abdul Ningi. I know him both politically and socially, even though he does NOT know me one bit. Politically I know him because he was and is still very close to my former principal. Socially, he is an UNCLE to two ‘FRIENDS’, who have however, advanced in life leaving yours sincerely well behind.

THE Senator has on a number of times visited my neck of the woods to visit his relatives some of whom are born and bred there, while others are based there for eons of years.

ALL the Senators have, and spoke of, one thing in common, the DISENCHANTMENT caused by the rampant CORRUPTION in the country, which appears to be the ONLY progressive thing about the regime of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

THE RUBBER STAMP Red Chamber is PRESIDED over by an equally money-insatiable and UNELECTED incompetent person, under whose watch DEMOCRACY has become a SHAM in Nigeria.

MEANWHILE, according to a trending video clip, politics have as usual TRIUMPHED over the well being, in fact, lives of the citizens under the present regime. The two most important roads in the North have allegedly been scarified on the ALTER of politics, because the LOCAL contractor to one of the roads is said NOT to belong to the RUINING (ruling) party.

THE contractor, who had from the word ‘go’, undertook to go ahead with work even without ADVANCE payment on the multi BILLION Naira project, had earlier even gone to the extent of paying courtesy calls to the two Emirate councils in the affected STATE. After the initial enthusiasm, EVERYTHING was TRUNCATED by the FEDERAL Government, because there is “NO FUNDS TO MAKE ADVANCE PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR”, as claimed by a presidential aide.

BUT the same regime could source the TRILLIONS through NEVER-ENDING foreign LOANS to fund a WHITE ELEPHANT ROAD project, in the Southern part of Nigeria.

IN the same North West state, someone of questionable character was recently appointed to a high profile office at an Ivory Tower institution. A video of that appointment is currently trending on the Internet. The person had served as a minister in the immediate past government, where he is alleged to have looted funds to the tune of N8 billion, and in the process, killed the ‘cow that produced the milk’.

LASTLY, my PENSION providers (SCAMMERS), PREMIUM PENSION, have done what they are best at doing; Sending to me a text message (SMS) that tell me how much my funds have grown at the end of the quarter, without telling me how to access the funds.

May God rid Nigeria of the CURSE that has befallen it. The present regime is a CURSE for MANY citizens, who are lucky to remain alive to tell their various stories of WOES.
