Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, has arrived in Katsina State for a two-day working visit aimed at boosting entrepreneurship, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
The Vice President’s aircraft landed at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina, at about 5:00 p.m., where he was warmly received by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, his deputy Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe, the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, and other top government officials.
Also on the welcoming line were the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa; the Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa; Senator Muntari Dandutse, representing Funtua Zone; and Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu of Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency.
Traditional leaders, including representatives of the Daura Emirate and the Emir of Katsina, the Kauran Katsina, were present alongside members of the State Executive Council, district heads, and dignitaries from across the state.
During the visit, Vice President Shettima is expected to commission the newly dualized Central Mosque–Kiddeis Roundabout Road and inaugurate the Katsina Sustainable Platform for Agriculture (KASPA) — a digital platform designed to connect farmers with markets, suppliers, and agricultural experts.
He will also flag off the 9th National MSME Clinic, a federal initiative that brings together small business owners, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies to support the growth of micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises in the state.
The event underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to economic diversification and empowerment through innovation and collaboration at the state level.
