He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support to the Fund, which he described as a driving force behind the progress being made in the higher education sector.
He also appreciated the Minister of Education and members of the National Assembly for their collaboration and unwavering support to TETFund.
According to him, since the assumption of office by the current Board, efforts have been intensified to ensure that TETFund interventions translate into tangible and measurable improvements in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.
“Our mission,” Masari stated, “is to ensure that every naira invested through TETFund yields real and visible impact on the educational landscape.”
He highlighted that the Fund has implemented major projects across the country, including staff training and development, construction of lecture halls, offices, research laboratories, ICT hubs, and entrepreneurship centres.
Masari further assured that the Board will continue to uphold transparency and integrity in its operations while promoting research and innovation, particularly in critical sectors such as agriculture, health, and technology.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with industries and both local and international collaborators to ensure sustainable educational growth.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono, praised President Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to the Fund and announced plans to roll out additional projects. These include the provision of power supply and student hostels in universities and colleges across the country.

Similarly, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education, Senator Muntari Dandutse, pledged that the National Assembly, under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, will continue to support TETFund to sustain its achievements.
Chairperson of the House Committee on TETFund and Other Services, Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha, commended President Tinubu for removing the proposal that sought to abolish TETFund from the new tax reform bill. She described the move as a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to education development in Nigeria.
Representing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the Permanent Secretary in his office, Mr. Olusegun Adekunle, commended TETFund’s pivotal role in advancing education and reaffirmed the government’s support for its programmes.
