The Katsina State Police Command has extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Katsina State, as well as Nigerians at large, following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Command acknowledged the former president’s immense contributions to national development and expressed sympathy to his family, friends, and associates.

As preparations continue for the late president’s burial in his hometown of Daura, the police say they have taken proactive security steps. According to the statement, the Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Bello Shehu, in collaboration with other security agencies led by the AIG Zone 14 Katsina, has deployed adequate personnel to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free ceremony.

“We are committed to maintaining law and order throughout the burial period and beyond,” the statement read.

The Command also prayed for Allah’s mercy on the soul of the former president and hoped his legacy continues to guide the nation.
