NDLEA, Police Pledge Stronger Collaboration in Katsina

The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, has received the newly posted State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), CN Isma’il Dan Malam, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration in the fight against drug-related crimes.

During the visit, which took place at the police headquarters in Katsina, CN Dan Malam expressed gratitude for the warm reception, acknowledging the pivotal role of the police in maintaining law and order. He called for sustained cooperation between the two agencies to enhance the effectiveness of their joint operations across the state.

In his remarks, CP Bello Shehu welcomed the new NDLEA commander and reaffirmed the police command’s readiness to support the agency in curbing the menace of drug abuse and trafficking in Katsina.

The engagement also included an interactive session between senior officers of both agencies, allowing for open discussion and idea exchange on improving security and drug enforcement strategies.

The visit concluded with the signing of the visitors’ register and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
