Katsina Deputy Governor Attends Janazah of Late Alhaji Aminu Dantata in Madinah

The Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, on Tuesday, attended the funeral prayer of the late elder statesman and renowned businessman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, in the holy city of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The Janazah prayer took place shortly after the Maghrib prayer and was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, among other notable Nigerians.

Malam Faruk Jobe represented the Government and people of Katsina State at the solemn event. He offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Alhaji Dantata and extended condolences to the family and all those affected by his passing.

Speaking after the prayer, the Deputy Governor described the deceased as a man of humility, generosity, and deep faith. “He lived a simple and impactful life. His legacy will continue to inspire generations,” he said.

He also conveyed the condolence message of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, who expressed profound grief over the loss, noting that Alhaji Dantata's contributions to business and humanitarian causes left an indelible mark on the region and the country.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata was regarded as one of Northern Nigeria’s most influential businessmen and philanthropists.
