The Katsina State Government has intensified its comprehensive inspection tour of adult and mass education centres across all 34 local government areas of the state, in a renewed effort to enhance inclusive education regardless of age.

The inspection aims to assess the conditions of learning centres, identify existing challenges, and ensure that these centres—particularly in rural communities are operating effectively despite infrastructure limitations and inadequate teaching resources.

Leading the initiative is the Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Agency for Mass Education, Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Kaikai. During a visit to one of the centres, she reiterated the administration's commitment to educational development under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umar Radda Ph.D.

"Education has no age barrier. Our mission is to ensure that every citizen of Katsina has access to quality education in a conducive environment," Hajiya Bilkisu stated.

In the latest phase of the tour, the inspection team focused on centres in Daura zone, led by Malam Kabir Mamuda, who represented the Executive Director. The team visited institutions including Maibara Learning Centre in Baure LGA, Malam Sani Ibrahim School in Sandamu LGA, and Chad’i Yar Manuwa in Sandamu LGA.

Other members of the delegation included officials such as Muntari Usman, Abubakar Umar Lele, Ibrahim Abashe, and Abdullahi Madugu, along with the Daura Zonal Coordinator, Malam Lawal Yaro Daura, and local education supervisors from Sandamu and Baure.

The field visit, conducted on Saturday, May 31, 2025, is part of a broader state-wide plan by the mass education agency to evaluate over 60 learning centres spread across the state's districts. The goal is to detect centres in need of urgent interventions and strategic improvements.

This move underscores the government’s commitment to advancing adult and non-formal education, which plays a critical role in community development, social inclusion, and improving the quality of life through education.
