The achievements of His Excellency Mal. Dikko Umar Radda, Ph.D, were highlighted during a recent event marking his second year in office. According to Dr. Kabir Abdullahi Yantumaki, Chairman of the Katsina State Revenue, the Governor is the first in the country to appoint a board of chairpersons to enhance transparency and improve administrative efficiency.

The event, organized by Citizens Participation Against Corruption Initiative, was themed “Leadership and Accountability: A Critical Analysis of Dikko Radda Administration in Katsina State” and took place at the N.U.J hall in Katsina.

Dr. Yantumaki presented six key factors he believes have driven the administration's success over the past two years: competence and confidence, institutional support, administrative autonomy, recognition and acknowledgment to boost morale among workers, and motivational leadership. He emphasized that these elements have fostered citizen inclusion in the democratic process under Radda’s administration.

Among the notable projects and achievements mentioned were the construction of new school facilities aimed at improving access to education for underprivileged children. In an effort to combat indiscipline and insecurity, the Governor initiated the C-watch program, targeting indecent behavior within the state. Additionally, Radda's administration has made significant investments in infrastructure and human capital, launching a skill acquisition program to help reduce poverty among vulnerable community members.

The Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (KTPCACC), Jamilu Mohammed Abdulsalam Ph.D  also attended the event, praising the Governor for his role in promoting a less corrupt state. He remarked on the commission's transformation under Radda's leadership, stating that it has evolved from a dormant entity to one of Nigeria’s most effective anti-corruption bodies. The commission operates independently, ensuring transparency without government interference.

Among the KTPCACC's accomplishments are the recovery of misappropriated public funds, ongoing investigations across various ministries, recovery of diverted agricultural materials, and the resolution of public complaints.

Attendees expressed gratitude for the Governor's dedication to improving the quality of life for citizens and urged the public to continue supporting his administration.
