KASSAROTA Director General Urges Road Users to Prevent Hazards and Ensure Safety on Katsina Roads

The Director General of the Katsina State Safety and Road Traffic Authority (KASSAROTA), has issued a public call to discourage the dumping of sand, soil, or waste materials on roads. This appeal is aimed at reducing the risk of accidents and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of Katsina’s roads.
The announcement, made available by KASSAROTA’s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Marwana Kofar Sauri, emphasized the importance of safe practices and compliance with traffic laws to foster a secure road environment. Major Rimi (Rtd.), particularly called on individuals who wash motorcycles, tricycles, or cars on public roads, to cease these activities as they violate existing regulations.
The Director General also highlighted that street vendors and traders who place goods on roads and pedestrian walkways should promptly relocate their businesses, as these pathways are meant exclusively for public passage and vehicular movement.
Encouraging road users to cooperate with KASSAROTA, Major Rimi (Rtd.), called on all motorists and residents to support the Authority’s initiatives by observing its guidelines. He reiterated that KASSAROTA personnel are dedicated to their duties and committed to upholding the authority’s integrity.
He thanked the state governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD for being up and doing in making the authority achieved its success and good people of the state for cooperating with the authority.
Major Rimi concluded by stating that any individual found violating KASSAROTA’s regulations will face disciplinary action as outlined by the law, underscoring the authority’s commitment to enforcing road safety standards across the state.
