Hon. Kovie Epetuku, a council member of the National Mathematical Center, has highlighted the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. As 2024 comes to a close, Hon. Kovie expressed joy in being part of this transformative government and contributing to its emergence.
According to Hon. Kovie, President Tinubu's administration has achieved significant milestones within a short period. Some notable achievements include:
- Economic Growth:
- Port Harcourt Refinery and Warri Refinery are operational
- Kaduna refinery is set to start soon
- All FX departments and many others have been cleared
- Social Development:
- Local Government Autonomy is now a reality
- Student Loans have been made available
- Passport scarcity is a thing of the past
- New Minimum Wage of ₦70,000 has been implemented
- Infrastructure Development:
- Federal Allocation to states has been doubled
- The Nigerian Stock Exchange has achieved its highest record, crossing the 100,000 All Share Index in 2024
- Work on the 700-km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project with railway has commenced
- Security and Education:
- Notorious bandit kingpins have been neutralized, resulting in decreased incidents of insecurity
- ₦50,000 Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme to nano businesses has been implemented
- Abduction of schoolchildren is now a thing of the past
Hon. Kovie emphasized that these achievements inspire hope for a brighter future.
