Kankara Applauds Gov Radda for Cash Donation to Slain Vigilante Head’s Family

Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, has commended the Governor of Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, for donating the sum of N500,000 to the family of the late Chairman of Tudu community’s vigilante group, Alhaji Mati Bahago Tudu, who died in the line of duty.

Alh. Bello Kankara gave the appraisal when he led the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Banditry and IDPs, Alhaji Sa’idu Ibrahim Danja, and some members of the Katsina State Government delegation, including the Chairman of Kankara Local Government, Alhaji Anas Isah Kankara, to present the Governor’s cash donation to the family of the deceased.

Ibrahim Danja, while presenting the cash on behalf of Governor Radda, said the money was meant to cushion the economic hardship faced by the family as a result of their breadwinner’s demise.

He reiterated the Katsina Government’s commitment to tackling armed banditry and kidnapping across the state, condoling with members of Tudu community and the family of the late Bahago Tudu.

While speaking, Alh. Bello Kankara described the deceased as a gallant vigilante officer, who sacrificed his life for the protection of Tudu community.

The Kanwan Katsina thanked the Katsina State government for its kind gesture, urging the family of the deceased to make judicious use of the money.

The monarch called on the members of Tudu vigilante to remain focused and not be bogged down with the loss of one of their own.

Alh. Bello Kankara called on people of the area to always maintain peace and order and to always channel their grievances to the relevant authority for necessary action and not to take laws into their hands.
