The Chairman of the Zakat and Waqaf Commission and renowned Islamic scholar, Mal. Ahmad Filin-Samji, has expressed his satisfaction with the Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) facility during a recent courtesy visit.

The development, linked to the growing synergy between religious institutions and skill development initiatives in Katsina State, a key focus of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda's administration.

Mal. Filin-Samji, warmly received by the Centre's management led by Coordinator Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro, described his visit as symbolic, pointing to the importance of the Centre's role in youth empowerment and skill acquisition.

Having previously served on the committee investigating the former management of the Centre, Mal. Filin-Samji expressed his delight at the progress made under the Governor Radda leadership.

"I am quite impressed and happy to see for myself the strides the Centre has taken since the new management assumed office," Mal. Filin-Samji noted.

In line with Governor Radda's emphasis on collaborative governance, Mal. Filin-Samji proposed a partnership between the Zakat and Waqaf Commission and the Katsina Youth Craft Village.

The proposed collaboration focuses on two key areas; Islamic teaching and character building for students at the Centre and joint initiatives in skills acquisition for underprivileged members of society

These proposals directly support Governor Radda's vision of creating a morally upright and economically empowered youth population, crucial for the state's sustainable development.

Mal. Filin-Samji assures the Management of the Centre that both he and the Zakat and Waqaf Commission are ready to assist the Centre in whatever capacity needed.
