Governor Radda Orders Immediate Action to Restore Power Supply at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has directed the immediate restoration of electricity supply to Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina. The order came following recent reports of power outages that disrupted activities at the institution.
To facilitate this, the governor has approved ₦314,605,550 for two key electricity projects within the university. The projects include the replacement of a 33KVA indoor control panel and other accessories, amounting to ₦216,358,901. Additionally, the installation of solar security lights, aimed at addressing vandalism and improving security, has been budgeted at ₦98,246,649.
Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Faskari, Secretary to the Government of the State, emphasized that the swift approval demonstrates Governor Radda’s commitment to creating a conducive learning environment at the university.
Governor Radda acknowledged the efforts of the university’s management, staff, and students in managing the situation while assuring them of his administration’s dedication to improving education standards across the state. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring uninterrupted power supply and supporting the institution’s growth.
