The son of the late Sarkin Gobir of Sabon Birni has alleged that Hon. Aminu Boza was the person behind the contract to kill his father. Kabiru, the son of the late Sarkin Gobir, and grandson of the Sarkin Gobir of Madawa in the Republic of Niger, made this claim in a 25-second video.

Kabiru stated that the terrorists confessed that they were contracted through Hon. Boza, a member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly representing Sabon Birni constituency, under the All Progressives Congress (APC) party. The contract was reportedly worth five million Naira.

The terrorists kidnapped Sarkin Gobir, Alhaji Muhammad Bawa, and his son on their way home after attending a meeting at the palace of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III. The Sarkin Gobir and his son endured over three weeks of torture as the captors demanded a ransom of sixty million Naira and five motorcycles. Despite receiving the ransom, the terrorists murdered the Sarkin Gobir and denied his body proper Islamic burial rites.

Kabiru has since been released and is currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
