SOKOTO STATE, Nigeria – Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Governor of Sokoto State and current Senator representing Sokoto South, has expressed grave concerns over the country's condition following the re-election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.

Speaking at a People's Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders' meeting in Sokoto on Sunday, Tambuwal stated, "During the 2023 election campaign, we warned Nigerians against re-electing the APC, cautioning that they lacked the capability to lead effectively. Now, they have secured power but are clueless about governance."

Tambuwal urged the opposition to unite to ensure the APC is defeated in the upcoming elections. "It is imperative for us to unite and ensure the APC is ousted at all levels of government," he emphasized.

Praising the PDP's leadership, Tambuwal commended the party's resilience and unity.

State PDP Chairman Bello Goronyo also claimed that several prominent APC members, including commissioners, have shown interest in rejoining the PDP, expressing optimism about the party's prospects in the next election.
