Presidential Villa Hosts 4th National Council on Skills Meeting

Vice President Kashim Shatima today chaired the 4th National Council on Skills meeting at the Presidential Villa, where significant decisions were made to advance skill development across various sectors of the economy.
The Council resolved to establish a committee to enhance coordination among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and state programs on skills development. This committee will be led by Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman.
Additionally, the Council proposed a draft bill for the Nigerian Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), aimed at elevating the skill level and quality of the nation's workforce. A separate committee, chaired by Minister of Women Affairs Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, was appointed to review the draft bill.
These measures are expected to address critical issues and foster comprehensive skill development in Nigeria.
