Police rescue 5 kidnapped victims travelling from Abuja to Zamfara in Katsina

Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have rescued five kidnapped victims travelling from Abuja to Zamfara State on March 9th, 2024.
The Command said the victims were held captive in chains within Katsina’s forest before their rescue.
The Police Commissioner, Katsina State Command, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Command’s spokesperson, ASP Sadiq Aliyu, said the victims, abducted near Kushere village in Zamfara, were rescued on Monday, March 25, 2024, during a routine patrol around Masiga village in Kankara Local Government Area (LGA), Katsina State.
CP Aliyu gave the identities of the rescued victims as Bashir Malqm Sani (25), Kamaladdeen Sani (23), Musa Muhammad (22), Sagir Umar (20), and Muntari Sama’ila (20). All the victims are said to be residents of Magamin Mai Tarko village in Zamfara State.
The Police Commissioner disclosed that the rescued victims are currently receiving medical attention and are expected to be reunited with their families soon.
