16-year-old student, Unveils Book on Teenage Challenges

A brilliant young author, Fatima Zara
Waziri, from Great Heights Academy (GHA) has launched a book on the challenges
faced by teenagers titled, Whisper ‘A Teen’s Reflection.
The book was launched on Saturday,
29th July, during the 2023 students graduation ceremony of Great Heights
Academy (GHA) a private Islamic nursery, primary and secondary school situated
in Kado, FCT.
During her speech, director of the school, Rabi Namtari, acknowledged the hard work deplored by the student who authored the books, and said, “Today’s event is spectacular as we are going to witness the unveiling of books authored by two of our graduating students.
“They worked really hard to compose these
piece and we wish them more breakthroughs as they write more books in the
future. May Allah bless their efforts,” she concluded. Speaking during the
ceremony, 16-year-old Fatima Zara Waziri, said she was inspired to write the
book from the challenges faced by teenagers in the society.
She further revealed that the book
contained some possible solutions to the challenges faced by teenagers
nationwide. When asked if she is going to take writing as a career, Zara
affirmed that writing will not be a one time thing in her life. “It is not
going to be a one off thing but it is not something I like to spend all my time
doing,” she said.
In an interview with Neptune Prime
correspondent during the event, Fatima’s Father, Aminu Waziri PhD, expressed
delightness for witnessing his daughter’s graduation as she completes her
secondary education. Waziri said he is equally overwhelmed with joy for the
launching of an inspiring book authored by his daughter. “I feel encouraged to
continue to invest in her education,” the proud father added. The graduating
ceremony was attended by many dignitaries including the immediate past Chief of
Army Staff Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya (rtd).
