In a daring mission executed on Sunday, March 10, 2024, the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with hybrid force elements, effectively eliminated eight Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists at the Ukuba enclave in the Sambisa forest. The intense gun battle compelled the terrorists to retreat, abandoning five locally fabricated double-barrel guns, two motorbikes, and assorted food supplies.
Concurrently, in Kankara, Katsina State, troops cleared multiple villages, eliminating two insurgents, rescuing a civilian captive, and recovering arms and equipment. In Zamfara state, two insurgents were neutralized, and weapons were seized during the clearance of villages.
Further south, Nigerian troops conducted a raid in South Eastern Nigeria, dismantling and destroying an IPOB/ESN Fighters' firearms production factory. The operation resulted in the recovery of weapons and machinery. These strategic maneuvers underscore the unwavering commitment of the Nigerian Army to bolstering national safety and security.
Citizens are urged to persist in their support for the Nigerian Army and other security agencies as they collectively combat adversarial forces and safeguard the nation.
