The inauguration ceremony, organized by the Sokoto State Government, unfolded in Sokoto, the capital, on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda lauded Governor Ahmed Aliyu for implementing crucial security measures, particularly addressing the challenges of insecurity and terrorism in Sokoto State.
Acknowledging the establishment of 3,600 security officers within the SSCGC, Governor Radda highlighted the significant contribution these officers will make to the ongoing fight against terrorism in the region. Drawing parallels with the successes of Katsina and Zamfara States, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda expressed confidence in the success of Sokoto's security initiatives.

Sokoto State now joins the ranks as the third state to implement these crucial security forces, following the pioneering efforts of Katsina and Zamfara.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda concluded by urging the community to support the government and the newly established Security Officers. He called for continued prayers to ensure the success of their efforts, underscoring the importance of safeguarding lives and fostering lasting peace in Sokoto State. The launch of the Sokoto State Community Guard Corps represents a pivotal moment in the region's commitment to overcoming security challenges through collective resilience and government-led initiatives.
