In a recent courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa, Vice President Kashim Shettima charged the newly appointed Board of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) to exemplify unwavering devotion to their duties. Emphasizing the significance of religious commitment in addressing national challenges, VP Shettima praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's impactful role and attributed his success to divine blessings.
Highlighting Tinubu's contributions as a sanctuary for political persecution victims, Shettima emphasized the need for leaders to invest in building bridges. He commended Tinubu for providing an alternative platform in the Nigerian political system.
Addressing the board members, Shettima stated, "All of you were chosen for your religious devotion. We must strive to make a positive impact to attain the Nigeria of our dreams."
Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the board opportunity. He commended VP Shettima's leadership, citing instances of support for the church and efforts to foster peace in Borno State.
Adegbite highlighted the commission's broader role beyond pilgrimage, emphasizing its duty to ensure a harmonious national environment.
