LGAs In Katsina Charge To Ensure Proper Record Keeping

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Professor Badamasi Lawal described record keeping as a major key to any administrative work hence the need for any administration to ensure record keeping.
The Commissioner made this known in a message when the Team of Inspectors visited Charanchi local government area on Saturday to inspect Phase 2 projects being executed by the local council.
The Commissioner represented by the Director Administration and Supply of the Ministry Alhaji Salisu Yakubu reiterated the commitment of the Ministry to ensure proper record keeping particularly in the 34 local government areas of the state.
He registered his satisfaction on the nature and quality of the projects so far inspected and the proper utilization of the funds allocated to the local government area to execute such projects.
On his part, the Chairman of the area Alhaji Ibrahim Sani restated his commitment towards remodeling the local area to make it unique in terms of development amongst its counterparts in the state.
He said ensuring peoples oriented programmes through consultations is his focus and pointed out that the projects inspected were awarded to locals to make people more closer to the government.
He thanked the State Governor and Ministry for LGCAs for identifying with local communities to ensure good governance by being transparent and accountable.
The projects inspected comprises phase 2 executed by the local government and Constituency projects by Member Representing the area in the State House of Assembly from the funds of the local government.
Projects so far inspected include a Slaughter Slap at Radda which was 100% completed, construction of a block of two classrooms with office and store reaching 75% at Sabaru Village compacting work and proposed drainage to control erosion at Majen Waya Village which was satisfied by the Team.
Provision of 6 Mono Pumps, one each at Sake, Farin Ruwa, Gangara, Kurkuni/Ruga, Doredu and Koda Villages and roofing work of the local government council camber were respectively inspected.
The Team also inspected an operational 18 Seater Bus Hiace Model purchased for the Council Members and general rehabilitation Work of Sabon Garin Kuraye Juma'at Mosque as well as completed construction work of Malam Idi Mosque in Kuraye.
The Team however inspected a Constituency Projects that include ongoing construction of a block of two classrooms at Kuraye and ongoing construction work of 370m long drainage at the outskirts of Kuraye Town.
Shortly after the inspection assignment, leader of the Team, Director of Administration and Supply of the Military Alhaji Salisu Yakubu expressed satisfaction and commended the Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Sani for a job well-done.
