The 2023 batch B, Stream II Corps Members in Katsina state have been advised to shun the idea of relocation and remain in Katsina for their one-year mandatory service.

A Retired Deputy Director of NYSC, Mrs Muhammad Fadimatu gave the advice on Monday, 28th August ,2023, while delivering a public lecture to the Corps Members at the camp pavilion of the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Mani Road, Katsina.

The Deputy Director took the Corps Members through the historical background of the NYSC, its establishment, the
Mission and Vision of the scheme, and also the steps to be taken by the Corps Members after the service year as well as their participation in the skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED)

The Deputy Director admonishes the Corps Members to take the SAED in-camp training very seriously as life outside the NYSC will be very challenging.

 

 

Mrs Muhammed Fadimatu told the Corps Members that the white collar jobs were no longer available and instead they should focus on
.the training of SAED to acquire relevant skills that will affect their lives endeavors.

Speaking further, the motivational speaker urged the Corps Members to respect the culture and tradition of their host communities whenever they are posted to their Places of Primary Assignment.

She disclosed that Katsina state was a home of hospitality and heritage, and that the people are generous and happy to receive and accommodate them.
