Buhari, Katsina, Daura emirs for annual Katsina dialogue

Former President Muhammadu Buhari, emirs of Katsina, Dr Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, and that of Daura, Dr Umar Farouq Umar are billed to attend the maiden edition of the annual dialogue organised by Katsina Consultative Forum.

The Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Aminu Abubar Danmusa, who revealed this on Wednesday in Katsina said Buhari will be the special guest of honour, adding that “It is a testament to the significance of this dialogue that His Excellency has committed to being part of this landmark event.

“Furthermore, His Excellency Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, the Executive governor of Katsina State, will serve as our esteemed chief host underscoring the government’s unwavering support for this initiative.

“We are also privileged to have the assurances of the attendance of the Emirs of Daura and Katsina, as well as numerous other distinguished personalities, reflecting the widespread recognition and endorsement of the Katsina Dialogue,” he said.

Danmusa said the dialogue was borne out of the collective resolve and dedication of a group of passionate individuals committed to the development and progress of the state.

“The Katsina Dialogue represents a crucial platform through which we seek to address and find solutions to the pressing issues that affect our state. It is a beacon of hope, ushering in a new era of collaboration, dialogue, and concerted action for the betterment of our society,” he said.

With the theme of this year’s dialogue as “Tackling the menace of drug abuse amongst the youth in Katsina State”, Danmusa said it refects the forum’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the future of the state by addressing one of the most critical challenges facing them in this modern era.
