National Economic Council Prioritizes Governance Over Yuletide Vacation in 138th Meeting
In today's session at the 138th meeting of the National Economic Council, a call to action was issued as Council members were urged to set aside plans for a yuletide vacation and focus on addressing critical governance issues to alleviate the challenges faced by the Nigerian population.
During the session, the emphasis was placed on being responsive to the needs of Nigerians, with a stern reminder that, as the year concludes, the expectation is for members to forego vacation plans. The responsibility of governing weighs heavily on the shoulders of those present in the chamber, as they prepare to face judgment based on the promises made to the electorate.
President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, the principal figure, has demonstrated that the challenges inherited by his administration are manageable. He has provided visionary leadership and presented a comprehensive development plan aimed at fostering order, abundance, and stability within the country.
The outcome of the meeting saw the establishment of two crucial committees - the Committee on Economic Affairs and the Committee on Crude Oil Theft and Management. These committees will be chaired by Kwara State Governor, Alh AbdulRahman AbdulRazak, and his Imo State counterpart, Senator Hope Uzodimma, respectively. The committees are tasked with deliberating on critical economic matters and formulating short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategies to address pressing economic issues.
