 Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has  approved the appointments of Six Senior Special Assistants (SSAs). 

A statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, on Wednesday, said Radda also approved the appointments into some boards and commissions  in the state. 

The statement listed the boards and commissions as Local Government Services Commission (LGSC) , Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Hisbah Board, Zakat and Waqf (Administration and Allied Matters) Board and the Katsina State Project Implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation (SPIME), Office.

Those appointed into Local Government Services Commission (LGSC) as amended are Alhaji Usman Mamman Maska, Executive Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Abdulkadir,  Permanent Commissioner, Hon. Abdul’aziz Lawal Danyari,  Permanent Commissioner, Hon. Mansur Murnai, Permanent Commissioner, Hon. Sani Aliyu Jarkuka,  Permanent Commissioner, Alhaji Abdullahi Kutawa,  Permanent Commissioner and Alhaji Lawal Dalhatu,  Permanent Commissioner.

According to the statement, the appointment of the members of the Local Government Services Commission (LGSC) supersedes the earlier appointments announced by the governor last month. 

Alhaji Abdullahi Imam,  is appointed Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.

Other members of the Commission are Hon. Shafi’u Inono,  Hon. Yahaya Galadima and Arc Umma Mamman Da Dambo. 

The appointments into the Local Government Services Commission and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission are subject to the confirmation of the state House of Assembly.

The Hisbah Board has a former military governor of Kano State and Sokoto States, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Muhammad Daku (Rtd),  as Executive Chairman. Members are Sheik Kamal Alti,  Mallam Iliya Imam, and Mallam Sirajo Lawal Katsayal. 

Sheik Dr. Ahmad Musa Filin-Samji,  is the Executive Chairman, Zakat and waqf (Administration and Allied Matters), with Sheik Naziru Maibaru, and Mallam Da’ah Amin Halilu, as Board Members.

Other key positions are Hon. Abubakar Yusuf,  Executive Secretary, Zakat and Waqf (administration and Allied Matters) Board with Sheik Aminu Abu Amar, as Commander of Hisbah Board.

In the statement, Malam Radda also announced the appointment of five Technical Assistants to the Governor under the Katsina State Project Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation (SPIME), Office.

They are Comr. Muhammad Bello Ibrahim Dabai, Hon. Ibrahim Lawal Doguru, Engr. Kofar Soro, Alhaji Abubakar Hamisu (Captain) and Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Umar (Dobry).

Five Senior Special Assistants (SSA) and One Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Katsina State were also appointed.

They are Rt. Hon. Aliyu Sabi’u Muduru,  Hon. Jabiru Yusuf Yauyau  Hon. Umaru Gambo, Hon. Nasiru Ala Iyatawa,Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Adidas  and Hon. Shehu Isah Lamido who is appointed as a Special Assistant. 

The Governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their expertise to bear in the development of the state.
