Successful Joint Patrol Thwarts Kidnapping Attempt in Katsina State

In a commendable display of vigilance and courage, the Katsina State Police, led by CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, foiled a potential kidnapping incident on November 25th, 2023. During a joint patrol with local vigilante groups in the Kwarare area of Jibia LGA, suspected kidnappers engaged the team in gunfire.
Swift and valiant response from the officers forced the criminals to abandon their sinister plans and flee into the nearby bush.
Upon thorough investigation, three neutralized suspected kidnappers were identified as Bala Wuta, a notorious bandit leader in Jibia LGA, along with Dogo Na Sahura and Hassan Bukuru. The recovery of their bodies and a confiscated operational motorcycle marked a significant victory in the ongoing fight against banditry.
CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, while commending the professionalism and bravery of the operatives, urged them to maintain the momentum. He also called upon the citizens of Katsina State to continue providing crucial information to law enforcement, emphasizing the role of timely information in swiftly addressing criminal activities.
Additionally, he urged citizens to report individuals with suspicious injuries, as some bandits may have escaped with gunshot wounds. The Katsina State Police remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the state's residents.
