Radda Urges Nigerians to Sustain Prayers as Government Battles Insecurity

MASHI, Katsina State — Katsina State Governor, Malam Umaru Dikko Radda, has called on Nigerians to continue praying for the country as governments at all levels intensify efforts to address the security challenges confronting the nation.


Governor Radda made the appeal on Saturday while attending the wedding ceremony of the son and daughter of the member representing Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri, held at the Mashi Central Mosque.


The governor said sustained prayers and collective support from citizens remain essential in complementing government efforts to restore lasting peace and security across the country.


The wedding attracted prominent political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, security chiefs and other dignitaries from within and outside Katsina State.

At the ceremony, Governor Radda served as the Wakili (representative) of the groom, Yusuf Salisu Majigiri, while former Katsina State Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, served as the Waliyy (guardian) of the bride, Maryam Salisu Majigiri.


Speaking after the event, Hon. Majigiri, who is also the Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center, expressed appreciation to Governor Radda, former Governor Shema and all the dignitaries who attended the occasion.


Among those present were the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe; Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura; a representative of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen; the Chief of Staff to the Katsina State Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman; Chairman of Mangal Airlines, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal; members of the National Assembly from across the country; APC National Legal Adviser, Barrister Murtala Aliyu; Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa; Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari; commissioners, special advisers, senior government officials and retired civil servants.


Also in attendance were representatives of the Emirs of Katsina and Daura, district heads and other traditional rulers, heads of security agencies, religious leaders, and members of various political parties.


Special prayers were offered for the newly married couples, seeking God's blessings for peaceful coexistence, unity, love, understanding, good health and lasting prosperity in their marriages.
