Elon Musk has officially become the world's first trillionaire after the successful initial public offering (IPO) of SpaceX, which raised a record $75 billion and pushed the company's valuation above $1.7 trillion. The landmark listing elevated Musk’s net worth to more than $1.1 trillion, making him the first person in history to surpass the trillion-dollar wealth mark.
According to Reuters, Musk’s fortune is largely driven by his substantial stake in SpaceX, estimated at about $866 billion, alongside his holdings in electric vehicle giant Tesla and other ventures. The IPO is regarded as the largest stock market debut in history and reflects strong investor confidence in Musk’s businesses.
SpaceX priced its shares at $135 each, raising $75 billion through the sale of more than 555 million shares. The company debuted on the Nasdaq on June 12, with strong demand from both retail and institutional investors.
The milestone comes amid growing global debate over wealth concentration and corporate influence.
