The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has conducted an inspection visit to the Kafin Soli Water Plant Booster Station, a key facility under the ongoing ₦31.8 billion Zobe Water Supply Project (Phase 1B).

The Governor made the stopover today while returning from Kano to Katsina, taking the opportunity to assess the progress of work at the site.

During the visit, he was conducted round the facility by the Project Manager of Mutual Construction Company (MCC), who briefed him on the current status of the project and the operational importance of the station.

The Kafin Soli Booster Station serves as a major hub within the regional water infrastructure network and plays a critical role in the transmission and extension of pipelines under the Zobe Dam water scheme.

The broader project is designed to convey treated water from the Zobe Dam to several local government areas, including Dutsin-Ma, Kankia, Charanchi, Rimi, Batagarawa, Kurfi and Katsina metropolis.

It also supports water distribution to multiple communities such as Kankia, Tafashiya, Charanchi, Yan’albasa, and surrounding settlements within the coverage area.

The Governor also observed the arrival of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes for the ongoing Zobe Phase 1B Water Supply Project at the Kafin Soli yard, a key component expected to advance pipeline installation works.

The project forms part of the State Government’s commitment to expanding access to clean and reliable water supply, strengthening public infrastructure, and improving living conditions across Katsina State.

Governor Radda was accompanied on the inspection by the Chief of Staff, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, alongside other senior government officials.
