The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Katsina State Chapter, has announced the passing of its Secretary, Alhaji Bello Iro Dabai, describing him as a committed leader, community builder, and patriotic son of Katsina State whose contributions to regional unity and development will remain enduring.


In a condolence statement issued on Saturday, June 20, 2026, and signed by the Publicity Secretary, Dr. Sada Salisu Rumah (Danwairen Katsina), the forum said Alhaji Bello Iro Dabai died on Friday, June 19, 2026, at a hospital in Cairo, Egypt, after a brief illness.


The statement noted that the deceased was a respected figure within the ACF and a strong advocate for peace, unity, and socio-economic development across Northern Nigeria.


According to the forum, his leadership qualities, wisdom, and dedication to public service significantly advanced the objectives of the ACF in Katsina State and the wider region.


The ACF described his death as a monumental loss not only to his immediate family but also to the organisation, the people of Katsina State, and Northern Nigeria at large.

“The late Alhaji Bello Iro Dabai was a committed leader who dedicated his life to serving humanity. His contributions to the growth of the ACF and his tireless efforts toward promoting unity and development will be deeply missed,” the statement read.


The forum extended its condolences to the family of the deceased, his associates, and all members of the ACF, praying for Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.


It also prayed for strength and patience for his family and loved ones to bear the irreparable loss.


“We pray Almighty Allah to forgive his sins, accept his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus,” the statement added.
