MY recent reference to the late Malam Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate past President of Nigeria, was a rebuke about his home emirate giving a traditional title to someone who celebrated the ex president’s departure from the Villa, barely two months after his dead body was committed to the earth.
FOR me, and many others who knew about the late two-time leader of Nigeria only by his CLEAN REPUTATION of being CORRUPTION free up to the time of his death, it was TOTALLY wrong of the over-90 years old Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk and his advisers to give the Title of ‘Sakin Waķa Ķasar Hausa to Dauda Kahutu (alias Rarara).
DAUDA Kahutu went to the Radio and attributed Nigeria’s current economic downturn and other ills bedevilling the country to Muhammadu Buhari, immediately when the latter ceased to be the number one citizen of the country. A very unfair and unkind cut by the popular Hausa praise musician against the former president.
AS I stated in an article earlier on 15/12/2025, the award of the title amounted to, “DANCING ON THE GRAVE of the immediate past president of the country, and DISTINGUISHED son of Daura, who less than two months ago, answered the call of his maker.”
AND Malam Lawal Abdullahi Giza puts it MORE ELOQUENTLY and INTELLIGENTLY that, “Late Maryam Babangida remained the most flamboyant First Lady ever. She retired to Minna with her husband before her demise. She never wrote a book complaining about her husband.
“Maryam Abacha, another beautiful, flamboyant First Lady, withstood all the negative press about Abacha and his government. She never spoke against her husband.
“Justice Fati Abdulsalam was at the forefront, asking her husband to ensure a smooth transition to an elected president. She continued her legal career without writing a book against her husband.
“Stella Obasanjo sadly passed during Obasanjo's presidency but remained his confidante. She never wrote anything about her husband.
“Turai Yar’adua was seen as overbearing but protected her husband at all costs. She quietly returned home to be with her children. I recall she rushed to beg Obasanjo to plead with Buhari regarding issues with her daughter.
“Patience Jonathan, though overbearing and dictatorial, never wrote a book complaining about her husband. Remember, she wasn’t happy with him conceding defeat, but she stood by him.
“This one waited over two years to write negatively about her husband. While he was alive and well, she didn’t release the book; now she has released it. Some people are saying we don’t know Buhari more than his wife. Are we not aware that women can be disloyal to their husbands?
“God knows I have never liked her; she will be thrown into the dustbin of history. While her husband will be revered till the end of this world. If Buhari allowed her to do as she pleased, I swear she would never have written a book about her husband’s alleged wrongdoing.”
BY the way, not unlike the turbaning of Rarara, the A’isha Buhari book launching was most likely SPONSORED by the Tinubu regime with the intention to ridicule Maigaskiya, tarnish his reputation earned over the years, as well as divert attention from the CORRUPT, INEFT and CLUELESSNESS that define the way the Tinubu regime conducting governance..
A’isha alleged in the book that his past life of drinking and drugging was responsible for his constant hospital trip to England. But Buhari was NOT known to be a PHILANDERER like majority of Military officers, as well as the rank and file. It would have become common knowledge long ago, as it is the case with past military leaders, and the present DRUGGIST, who is Nigeria’s number one citizen.
IT is a common knowledge that many attempts to KILL him on the job, the most infamous being gassing him through his office air conditioning system, were made by some people who saw Maigaskiya as a threat to their thieving lifestyle.
When that failed, the same CORRUPT people resorted to the services of BABALAWOS (native doctors belonging to both beliefs, religious and irreligious), to make sure that they FRUSTRATE him in his GARGANTUAN task to rid or lessen their pastime in Nigeria.
A’isha Buhari should have launched her book when her husband, who gave her the name to be known all over the world, was ALIVE. It would have provided him the opportunity to defend himself by himself.
THE book amounts to a BETRAYAL of NOT only MUHAMMADU BUHARI Maigaskiya, but also of the person or people who introduced, suggested and supported the marriage of the duo.
Aisha’s book has gained her appropriation instead of appreciation and approval. She has hoped to gain popularity overnight, but gained condemnation instead.
THE book is so full of RUBBISH that the immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmed El Rufa’i, who was a very close confidant of the late Maigaskiya, pleaded for an end to “Launching of books on Muhammadu Buhari”.
MALAM Nasir E Rufa’i is NOT the only notable figure close to the immediate late past president. He had many others all over the country, in particular the immediate past governor of Katsina state, Right Honourable Aminu Bello Masari, the pioneer Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bisi Akande and Jack Rich, a presidential aspirant, among others.
May God NOT bless His pious male servants with wives like the DUPLICITOUS and THANKLESS A’isha Buhari, who always want to ‘EAT THEIR CAKE AND HAVE IT’, in their marriage.
