FRSC Katsina Takes Road Safety Campaign to Sokoto Rima Mosque for 2025 World Day of Remembrance
As part of activities marking the 2025 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Crash (RTC) Victims, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command on Friday intensified its public sensitisation efforts with a special outreach at the Sokoto Rima Mosque during the Juma’at prayer of 14 November 2025.
The delegation, led by Deputy Corps Commander (Operations) Yakubu Maina, comprised Principal Staff Officers, Special Marshals, and members of the NYSC Road Safety Club. The team joined the congregational prayer and used the platform to engage worshippers on safe road practices under the global commemorative theme, “Lost Talent.”
During the awareness session, the FRSC officials sensitised the congregation on common road traffic violations, most of which are linked to human behavioural factors. They emphasised the importance of responsible road use, adherence to traffic regulations, and the cultivation of a safety-conscious driving culture to reduce preventable crashes.
The Chief Imam expressed gratitude to the Corps for selecting the mosque as part of its statewide enlightenment activities. He offered prayers for victims of road crashes, including those who lost their lives, and encouraged the FRSC to sustain such engagements. He assured that the message would be further disseminated among the worshippers.
Similar prayers and sensitisation activities were simultaneously conducted across FRSC formations in Katsina State as part of the week-long remembrance events.
