NAHCON Chairman Inaugurates 2026 Hajj Nusuk Masar Team
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has inaugurated the 2026 Hajj Nusuk Masar Team at the Commission’s office in Makkah.
The 10-member team is mandated to coordinate Nigeria’s interface with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s digital portal, Nusuk Masar, which manages core operational components of the 2026 Hajj. These include pilgrim registration, visa issuance, accommodation, feeding arrangements, Masha’ir services contracting, and flight data management.
Speaking during the inauguration, Professor Usman said the assignment is central to Nigeria’s early preparations for the 2026 Hajj, noting that Nigerians expect a process that provides accurate and timely services. He charged the members to uphold clarity, speed, and professionalism in executing all tasks.
He stressed that the experience of every pilgrim would depend largely on the efficiency of the digital system under the team’s supervision, adding that effective performance on the platform is as critical as the contributions of airlines and service providers.
Also speaking, the Commissioner in charge of Policy, Personnel Management and Finance (PPMF), Prince Aliyu Abdulrazaq, urged the team to carry out the assignment with transparency and accountability, noting that the trust placed in them must reflect in the quality of their work.
Responding on behalf of the members, the Team Lead, Dr. Haruna Danbaba, assured the Commission of their commitment to meeting all timelines set by Saudi authorities, emphasising that the Hajj schedule allows no room for delays.
The inauguration marks a significant step in NAHCON’s early preparations for the 2026 Hajj, with implementation activities expected to commence immediately.
