Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of the state for what he described as a “truly historic” turnout during the recent two-day working visit of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Governor Radda, in a statement issued after the visit, said the warm reception accorded to the Vice President reflected the unity, loyalty, and patriotism of Katsina people.
“I don’t have enough words to thank the people of Katsina. This is truly historic. Since the beginning of my political journey, the people have always stood by me. During the election, their support made the difference. Now, more than two years into my administration, that support continues to grow stronger,” the governor said.
He attributed his administration’s progress to divine guidance, teamwork, and the continued trust of citizens in his vision for inclusive development.
“First, we must thank Almighty Allah for making this possible. It’s not by my power. I sincerely thank the people of Katsina for the unwavering support they have continued to show. I also appreciate my team because I couldn’t achieve these things alone—they have given their very best,” he added.
Governor Radda said the people’s belief in his administration serves as the driving force behind the government’s reforms and development strides across the state.
“The people’s support is not just about numbers—it is about trust, shared vision, and collective hope for a greater Katsina. That solidarity gives us strength, inspires our decisions, and motivates us to work even harder,” he noted.
The governor also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their continued collaboration with Katsina State. During the visit, the Vice President commissioned major projects, including a solar-powered dual carriageway and the Katsina Sustainable Platform for Agriculture (KASPA)—a state-of-the-art digital data centre designed to enhance agricultural productivity.
Governor Radda assured residents that his administration remains committed to completing all ongoing projects and intensifying development efforts across the state.
“Your solidarity is a powerful demonstration of unity and shared hope. We will not take your trust for granted. We will continue to work tirelessly to justify the confidence you have placed in us,” he pledged.
